Canterbury lies in the middle of the city of canterbury, the city is located in southeast Englandand lays on the Great Stour river. A Brythonic settlement, it was first conqured by romans it the first century ad. many historic events have occured at Canterbury such as the murder of Thomas Becket. Many structers that were constructed hundreds of years ago still stand there such as a wall that was built by Romans, a castle, and possibly the oldest school in england. Axes, and Bronze aged pots have been found near the establishment. The "Black Death" hit Canterbury in 1348
The city is located about 55 miles southeast from the city of London.
